Seif is a general and interventional cardiologist based at North Shore Hospital where he is the Lead Interventional Cardiologist at the CardioVascular Unit. He is the current Chair of The NZ Cardiovascular Interventions Group (Cardiac Society-NZ) [since 2017].

Seif oversees the Interventional Cardiology Research Programme at WDHB, is an Academic Editor for the Journal of Interventional Cardiology with many publications in the field of interventional cardiology and new device technologies; he supervises junior interventional trainees at WDHB.
