Tony is a general cardiologist with an interest in non-invasive imaging, heart failure and in cardiac disease and adaptation in athletes. He maintains current American Board Certification in Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac Device Implantation. In addition to working as a cardiologist at Waitemata Cardiology, he works in Waitemata DHB at North Shore and Waitakere hospitals, where he has been Clinical Director since 2003.

In early 2013 he was appointed Clinical Leader of the Northern Region Cardiology Clinical Network, with governance responsibilities for coordination of the 4 Northern District Health Boards.
