Seif is a general and interventional cardiologist based at North Shore Hospital where he is the Lead Interventional Cardiologist at the Cardiovascular Unit. He brings more than 2 decades of interventional cardiology experience and is fully proficient in all complex coronary therapies.

Besides clinical cardiology, Seif has been heavily involved in clinical governance, and how best to extend healthcare in New Zealand with the ultimate goal of benefiting every individual patient. Seif had been an active participant in local, regional and national groups involved in health service delivery and furthers that interest internationally through his Board membership of the Asian Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology and the International Committee of the Society of Coronary Angiography and Intervention – USA.

Closer to New Zealand, Seif has provided general and interventional cardiology expertise to an evolving health system in Fiji through charitable medical missions and established healthcare outlets on the island. He is one of a handful of overseas interventional cardiologists that steadfastly supported interventional cardiology services on the island since 2010 through numerous expert-visits over the years.

Seif has engaged in coronary and cardiovascular research for over 2 decades with exposure and early use of many of the devices that have evolved to become standard of care in our current practice. He has many publications in the field of interventional cardiology and new device technologies.

Teaching, training and supervising junior colleagues and future leaders in the field of interventional cardiology has always been a priority for Seif . He is the immediate past chair of the Cardiovascular Interventions Group within the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (2016-2022), he has been on the Editorial Board/Academic Editor in the Journal of Interventional Cardiology since 2007 and enjoys day to day teaching in his various roles.
